Tony Bellew has warned David Haye that he should consider retirement if he ends up pulling out again from their upcoming clash. Both former world champions are set to face each other on May 5 at the O2 Arena in London in a rearranged matchup that was originally scheduled for December 17.When asked if he was worried about the Hayemaker withdrawing from their bout Bellew told Radio City talk: “Of course there are concerns. Of his last eight fights, he’s pulled out of four," as per The Sun.“It does worry me. But saying that I know he has no way to go. I know he will do everything possible to get in the ring on the fifth of May."Boxers invest a significant amount financially, mentally, and physically into their training camps leading up to fights and a cancelled bout can sometimes cause an even greater feeling of disappointment than a knockout loss.Unfortunately for Haye, he is all-too-familiar with the feeling of being forced to pull out of fights and with time not on his side, Bellew insists the Bermondsey brawler is unlikely to find another top fighter prepared to risk agreeing to fight him should he withdraw again. The former cruiserweight champ added: “He knows, pull out again – it’s over. I will not entertain you ever again. It’s just a sad situation. He’s a man who has torn five major muscle groups in his body.

“I’ve given him ample time to get over the injuries. We’ve seen him doing his lovely bicep curls on his videos, we’ve seen his punching, press ups and shadow boxing, we’ve seen all of this so hopefully he is all right."

Bellew believes that Haye's long rap sheet of injuries has taken its toll on the 37-year-old.

“Tearing one is unlucky, tearing two is catastrophic and extremely unlucky. Tearing five, you’ve got to start asking questions what’s going on. He’s done a lot of damage to his body."

If David Haye does indeed pull out because of another injury, it's hard to see a way back.
