The Philadelphia Eagles earn their spot in the Super Bowl last weekend after a win in the NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings, and while their plays on the field were important, the way they communicated off it was just as significant.Nick Foles had a career-game which helped propel the Eagles to their third Super Bowl in franchise history with a dominating 38-7 win against the Vikings despite being classed by many as the underdogs in that game.Malcolm Jenkins and the Philadelphia defense, however, were just as important in helping the team earn their first Super Bowl appearance since  Super Bowl XXXIX of the 2004 season, which also so happened to be against the New England Patriots. The Eagles safety showed just how important he is to his team with a fiery speech before the game that helped the team earn the victory in the NFC title game, which you can watch for yourself further down.Jenkins said in his speech: “It ain’t about them. It’s all about us. I don’t know if ya’ll realize, but this is the last time that this team in this circle is gonna play on this field together. This team won’t ever be the same, so this our last chance. Let’s make this the best one, man. Have some fun and cut it loose.“The disrespect will not be tolerated. All year they told you what you can’t do. What you couldn’t be. We four quarters away from being a legendary team. We already legendary. This the stage to prove it. We are four quarters away from being up there in the rafters where they can’t take that down … We put in the work to be right here.”After the game, Jenkins gave another speech in the team huddle, which you can see below, where he said: “You’re gonna to hear it all the time, the phrase ‘we’re going to the Super Bowl’... we ain’t just going, we going to win!”

The Eagles safety explained his speeches to NBC Sports Philadelphia, saying most of it comes from the heart, and that he does it to 'keep everybody in perspective'.

Jenkins said: “Most of it is just kind of off of my heart. I kind of try to analyze the situation of where we are as a team, do a little bit of reflection but make sure that it’s not just an emotional response to keep everybody in perspective. Just because it’s easy to get too high or too low after a win or loss. It’s easy to start to listen to all of the things that people are getting ready to say.”

The Eagles will of course play next in Super Bowl LII against the Patriots a week on Sunday, a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX of the 2004 season, which was won by the Patriots 24-21.
