Hereford have been awarded a grant of up to £750,000 by the Football Foundation to help in the rebuilding of the Blackfriars End at Edgar Street.

The Football Stadia Improvement Fund, who support the Football Foundation, on Monday announced the decision after discussions which have been ongoing for some time.

Hereford are awaiting planning permission for the new all-seater stand with the current structure closed to supporters after it was deemed unsafe at the start of the season.

Over £100million has already been invested by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund since it was founded in 2000 to fund developments at grounds in the lower realms of the game.
