Mourinho: We were professional

Man United have already been embarrassed by lower opposition in the cup this season, losing to Bristol City in the Carabao Cup, but there was no way that was going to happen last night.

It simply came down to Man United’s attitude which, fortunately for Mourinho, was spot on. They didn’t underestimate Yeovil, who are currently 21st in League Two, and produced a professional performance.

"These matches are difficult if the attitude is not correct [and] even if it is correct," Mourinho said at full-time, per Goal.

“We were professional and, winning 1-0, we had control of the game, we had possession, space for transitions and more quality and we killed the game."

BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas heaped praise on Sanchez after the match, saying the Chilean will be "delighted" with the start he's made at Man United.

"Players have to up their game and they're excited about playing with Alexis Sanchez," Jenas said on BBC Radio 5 Live. "I'm not surprised to hear Mourinho saying he'll have a problem because he wants to play every minute of every game.

"He just wants to play football and he makes those passes in the final third. He keeps his head and takes that extra second, as we saw with the second goal."
