Alexis Sanchez didn't disappoint on his long awaited debut for Manchester United.Few expected the club's marquee signing to play from the  start against League Two Yeovil Town but Jose Mourinho was rewarded for throwing the Chilean straight into the action. As the 29-year-old's future become more and more apparent at the Emirates, Sanchez's game-time declined and the Special One was keen to give him 72 minutes ahead of a huge few months for United.Furthermore, Sanchez romped his way to the Man of the Match award and both of United's goals with him on the pitch came from chances he created. Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera were the players to profit from his ingenuity. The latter goal scorer, too, had an impressive outing in Somerset despite a difficult second season under Mourinho.

Ander Herrera praises Sanchez v Yeovil

Herrera will have been a happy man when Sanchez played him through on goal, allowing him to hammer his first goal of the season past Artur Krysiak.

The Spaniard certainly showed his respect to United's new signing after the match, too, with an extremely complimentary interview on the qualities he brings to Old Trafford.

When asked about Sanchez's FA Cup performance, Herrera was keen to deflect the conversation away from his new teammates's attacking ability and what he really thinks makes Sanchez special.

In the Huish Park tunnel, he explained: "He has played very well but what I really like from him is the way he fights when he loses the ball, when the team loses the ball.

"He's always ready to be the first defender in the team, that's going to be very important for us.

"Of course, we know his quality, he's going to be amazing for us but the way he fights, he defends and is the first defender is what I really like."

You can't argue with that and there can be little doubting that Sanchez's unrelenting work rate after losing the ball is one of his biggest qualities.

The 29-year-old's effort during games looked to have plummeted at Arsenal this season, yet there's every reason to suggest Herrera's expectations will be met now that Sanchez has left north London.

And with Manchester City running away the league, United will need every ounce of effort in Sanchez's legs and then some.
