WWE has finally been going all-out with the female athletes and providing them with opportunities that were never heard of before. We’ve gone from main event slots on Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE, to having Hell in a Cell and Money in the Bank stipulations.

HISTORY

It hasn’t stopped there either, as the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble takes place on Sunday night and excitement is higher than ever as one woman looks to make history and book a place in a championship match at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

However, just because it’s been a groundbreaking year for the women in 2017 doesn’t mean WWE is planning on ending the revolution there. If anything, 2018 could be much bigger and better with more history set to be made.

Although there has been speculation about this in the past, it looks as it could become a reality - the women could finally be entering the Elimination Chamber this year on the Road to WrestleMania.

ELIMINATION CHAMBER

Pro Wrestling Sheet originally reported the news when it first emerged, but advertisement from the T-Mobile Arena suggests that this is the next step for the women.

As you’ll be able to see below, they posted: “Which of the 12 RAW WWE Superstars will make it inside?”

Considering one Elimination Chamber only holds six participants, it seems very likely that the second Chamber stipulation will be for the women. This is - probably - backed up by the fact that Alexa Bliss is on the advertisement. Although, Samoa Joe is on there too and he’s currently injured, so this could mean he could be back by then.

This might fall in line with the Royal Rumble rumours that have been circulating for the past week or so. Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is trying her best to play down a Rumble appearance by showcasing her movie commitments in Colombia. However, speculation still suggests that she could enter the Rumble and end up winning it - even though Asuka is there.

There has been talk that The Empress of Tomorrow could dethrone Little Miss Bliss in the build-up to WrestleMania 34 to capture the RAW Women’s Championship and then battle Rousey, and the Elimination Chamber could be the perfect stage for that to happen.

If this happens, it’s similar to what occurred last year when Bray Wyatt captured the WWE Championship at the same event last year before dropping it to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33.

Either way, this is going to be a very exciting time for the WWE’s female stars.
