Having started the season as one of the Premier League's biggest surprise packages, Watford have become more of a cautionary tale in recent months.Did the Hornets get carried away with their early success? That could certainly be said of Marco Silva, who after courting the Everton job, won just three of his final 13 games in charge.Javi Gracia is the man tasked with turning that form around, though his side continued their barren run with a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the FA Cup.Silva was allowed to bring in several important signings in the summer, with Andre Gray, Richarlison and Will Hughes all arriving. And it looks as if the revolving doors at Vicarage Road will remain in motion, with the club reportedly setting up some tantalising transfer business in the final few days of the window.According to Sky Sports' Adam Leventhal, Watford have set their sights on none other than a Barcelona player, albeit one who has scored just once in La Liga this season.

RAC1, the Catalan-based radio station, have also backed up claims that Gerard Deulofeu could be on his way back to the Premier League to work under Gracia, though a potential deal is still a long way off completion.

It was always difficult to envisage how the former Everton man was going to fit into Ernesto Valverde's team, so perhaps it is little surprise that he's interested in moving on from the Nou Camp for the second time.

In pre-season, there was even talk he was supposed to replace Neymar, yet he's since made just five league starts. Nevertheless, his signing would be a huge coup and for a mid-table Premier League club, he should be a revelation.

As for Watford, they are aiming to add more firepower to an attack that looks likely to lose Troy Deeney before the end of the month.

Regardless of some bizarre links to Chelsea, the target man is on West Brom's radar and that move could be wrapped up very soon.

Losing their captain will be a bitter pill to swallow for Hornets fans, but bringing in a Barcelona attacker might well soften the blow.

It's 18 months since Gracia last worked in La Liga, but his contacts in Spanish football already appear to be an asset.

Who should Watford sign before the window ends? Have your say in the comments.
