This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will play against the New England Patriots at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 4 in Super Bowl LII, a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX, which was won by the Patriots 24-21.In order to make sure the outcome of the game is different this time around, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has enlisted some help to pump up his team the day before the big game to make history happen. This will be the Eagles' first Super Bowl appearance since that game as well, whereas the Patriots will be seeking to become the first team to repeat Super Bowl triumphs since they did it themselves at Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XXXIX.Pederson has won the Super Bowl before, back when he was a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers during their Super Bowl XXXI win of 35-21 over New England in the 1996 season. He was the third-string quarterback on the team behind Jim McMahon and NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre. It is Favre that the Eagles head coach has asked to come and give his team a talk on Saturday morning at the team hotel, prior to the Super Bowl in Minnesota the following day, and the Packers legend said on his Twitter account that he is more than happy to come and help out his old backup.

Pederson served as Favre's backup at the Packers from 1995 until 1998. He then signed with the Eagles in 1999 to become the team's starting quarterback under new head coach and current Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who was Pederson's quarterbacks' coach in Green Bay from 1997 to 1998. He then returned to backup Favre once more in 2001 until 2004.

Pederson said on Wednesday to ESPN: "I know Brett's going to be here. He's got some obligations he's going to do this week, and he and I still stay in touch. We're great friends. We were teammates for eight years in Green Bay, and I figured since he was going to be in town, I just asked him."

This should get the Eagles in the Super Bowl state of mind, as Favre knows all about defeating the Patriots in the big game since he did it himself in his only Super Bowl win of his career back in the 1996 season. We'll see if the talk pays off this Sunday.
