Recently, there was a huge uproar about how WWE was treating Finn Balor, with many claiming he was being buried and simply wasn’t over with the WWE Universe anywhere.

Balor has always been someone who interacts with fans on social media about any rumours circulating regarding him, and it was no different when he continued to drop numerous not-so-subtle messages about him not being over.

CENA LOSS

That all looked to have changed recently when WWE made the decision to have Balor form The Balor Club at long last with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. That looked to be cemented based on his Royal Rumble performance too, as he was the second entrant on Sunday night and enjoyed a magnificent stint where he was the longest entrant in the match.

You’d assume that WWE would continue his momentum after that showing, along with the fact that we’re officially on the Road to WrestleMania. They had a glorious opportunity to do that too as he could have qualified for the Elimination Chamber. The only issue for him was that he was up against John Cena and he’s not someone who was going to miss out on appearing in a match of that stature when he’s on a limited WWE schedule.

Understandably, WWE fans are annoyed and frustrated at what happened on Monday Night RAW this week as Cena picked up a clean win over the Irishman to halt his momentum and leaving fans wondering what’s next.

Considering Roman Reigns is widely expected to reign supreme in the Chamber anyway, it probably helped Balor to avoid a bigger loss but Rajah has revealed the real reason why this decision was made.

NEW FEUD

The source is claiming that this loss was to move Balor into a feud against The Miz and The Miztourage for the Intercontinental Championship.

At the moment, it’s unclear just which type of matches are going to be in store for the two teams, along with Balor and The Miz.

The source has explained that the match could happen as early as the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, but the other possibility is to have the Balor Club face The Miztourage in a six-man tag team match, as opposed to a one on one Intercontinental Championship match.

If this is the case, then it probably makes more sense to have the six-man tag team match at the final RAW pay-per-view of the year at the Elimination Chamber, before culminating the feud in a singles match at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans with the historic championship on the line in what will be Balor’s first WrestleMania in WWE.

While it’s not quite the Universal Championship picture, it’s still something positive as it’s for championship gold while The Miz is still an excellent star to feud with.
