Charlton manager Phil Parkinson has refused to give up on automatic promotion despite seeing his side suffer a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of leaders Norwich.

Parkinson was boosted by the teams around the Addicks slipping up and, with just three games remaining, his side lie in fifth in League One and three points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

He said: "It is still all there to play for. But until everything is mathematically decided, we`re not going to take anything for granted."

Michael Nelson's goal secured victory for the Canaries, but they were indebted to goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who pulled off a string of fantastic saves.
