After Alexis Sanchez arrived at Old Trafford in January, the last thing fans expected to read was that Manchester United are in the market to bring in another attacking player in the summer. With Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Sanchez all operating in the final third, is there really space or a need for another body?Well, according to The Mirror, the club was in advanced talks with Ajax wonderkid Justin Kluivert ahead of their clash with Huddersfield at the weekend.Of course, Kluivert has previous with the Red Devils after his conversation with Jose Mourinho went viral after the Europa League final.Lip-readers have suggested Mourinho was telling Kluivert - son of the legendary Dutch forward Patrick Kluivert - that he would sign him at the end of next season, which is this forthcoming summer. While the 18-year-old is obviously one of the hottest properties in Europe, it's hard to imagine where he would fit in at the Theatre of Dreams next season if he did indeed make the move.On the strength of that idea, it's no surprise to see the winger dampen speculation when talking to Voetbal Inside at the weekend."The chances of me leaving are slim," Kluivert insisted. "I haven't spoken to Jose Mourinho myself. I know as much as you do. Rumours are always there, but Manchester United has never come up, and I don't think it's a logical step. A few more years at Ajax? Who knows, we'll see."

Mourinho had a similar take on the story on Sunday when asked about the possibility.

"That's why I say that it's bad for you [the Press] because you like to have things to write about, especially in the summer. But I don't want attacking players, so don't speak about attacking players who are coming here because nobody is coming here."

With both camps moving to deny the story, it seems the Mirror's original report has no legs, but having said that, neither party is likely to confirm the rumours even if they were true.

Kluivert is destined for a big future in the game, but it seems as if his immediate future won't be at Manchester United.
