The trainer of Joseph Parker feels that Anthony Joshua will not recover, if he is knocked-down when the two heavyweights meet for a bout in Cardiff in late March.

Preparations remain ongoing ahead of the fight in the Welsh capital, with both the Brit, Joshua and New Zealander Parker aiming to unify the heavyweight belts that they currently hold in a showdown that will also see both men put their undefeated records on the line.

But Parker's trainer Kevin Barry has added further fuel to an increasing pre-fight fire by saying that if knocked-down to the canvas, then Joshua will struggle to get back up.

In his triumphant fight last April against Wladimir Klitschko, Joshua was knocked to the ground against the veteran Ukranian in the sixth round and Barry feels if that, should it happen again, there will be no coming back.

"I'd be very foolish to pick a round, but I can promise you this: when Joseph Parker does hit Anthony Joshua clean, if Joshua goes down I can promise you he will not recover like he did in the Klitschko fight," Barry told Sports Network, as per Boxing Scene.

"The fight will be over. Joseph Parker is a very, very good finisher. There will be times in this fight where both guys get hurt, but I like our chances a lot in this fight."

With 70,000 tickets sold for the Principality Stadium event sold, Barry has lauded all the pressure onto Joshua's shoulders and feels Parker will be able to adapt to the surroundings and fight without pressure.

He continued: "The pressure is on Anthony Joshua. There is huge public expectation. We're going into the lions den, and this excites me as a coach, excites Joe as a fighter, excites our whole team."
