Gus Poyet has revealed that he is set for talks to extend his contract at Brighton after practically securing his side's League One status.

Poyet was originally set for contract talks with a number of key players this week, but is also prepared to discuss his own future as his current deal expires at the end of the 2010/11 season.

Poyet told BBC Sussex: "The main point is to enjoy what you are doing and see the team playing the way you want. It's important I can put my style on the club because I think it works."

He added: "It should be easier to win games then I will be here a long time. If not, like everyone I'll get the sack."
