It's been nothing but good times since Blake Griffin arrived at the Detroit Pistons and an insight into how bright the future could be for this team with the former Los Angeles Clipper in their line up was shown last night through a half-court alley-oop to Andre Drummond. The Pistons won 111-91 against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Little Caesars Arena on Monday night, giving the team their fourth win in a row since they traded for Griffin a week ago. The power forward was the best player on the court, finishing with 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and he was 9-of-20 from the field. One of the best moments in the game happened early on and it demonstrated that in just a couple of months, Detroit could have one of the best front-court duos across the entire NBA.As you can see in the video further down, in the first quarter of the game, Griffin rebounded a miss from the Blazers’ C.J. McCollum. He then dribbled the ball to the half court line before throwing a lob pass towards Andre Drummond near the basket, who then finished the play with a two-handed slam. This play demonstrates how exciting things could be for Pistons fans in just a couple of months time if Griffin and Drummond keep on clicking like they did in this play. Drummond finished the game with 17 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, one steal, three blocks, and was 7-of-12 from the field.

A week ago, the Pistons traded for Griffin along with Willie Reed and Brice Johnson from the Clippers, sending Avery Bradley, Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, a future protected first-round draft pick and a future second-round draft pick in the other direction.

After the game, Griffin spoke to NBA TV, where he said he believes 'the sky is the limit' for his partnership with Drummond on the court and that there's 'a lot of potential' for them to become the best front-court duo in the entire NBA.

Griffin will have an opportunity to keep the good times rolling for the Pistons when they play next on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
