Midfielder Ian Craney has returned to parent club Huddersfield Town after cutting short his loan spell at Morecambe.

The 27-year-old joined Morecambe on a season-long loan at the start of the season but has gone back to League One side Town after being ruled out of the last three matches of the campaign through injury.

In fact, the former Accrington man has missed the whole second half of the Shrimps League Two campaign through injury. He made 16 appearances for the Christie Park club and scored twice with strikes at Burton and against Rochdale.
