It will come as no surprise to many NBA fans that the Washington Wizards are reportedly engaged in trade talks with one certain player on their roster, especially after the back and forth he's had with John Wall over the past week.

However, there is one major roadblock that is holding the Wizards back from receiving more interest for this said player that what they are currently receiving from teams around the league.

That player, of course, is center Marcin Gortat.

According to ESPN, Wizards have been engaged in trade talks involving Gortat, with several teams reportedly have shown an interest in the center.

In his 11th season, Gortat is averaging 8.9 points and eight rebounds per game in 53 starts this season and has one year and $13.5 million left on his current contract. His production on the court though is down and he’s averaging the fewest minutes per game since joining the Wizards in 2013.

However, the one thing that could be holding back a trade of the center before the trade deadline at the moment is that the Wizards are looking to improve their team now while not taking on any additional long-term money.

The Wizards did manage to win their past five games before losing to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, all this despite the fact Wall is currently sidelined and reportedly expected to miss six-to-eight weeks after undergoing arthroscopic debridement procedure on his left knee last Wednesday.

The center sent a weirdly-timed tweet on Thursday after helping his team defeat the Toronto Raptors, calling it a "great 'team' victory," which many have deemed him taking a shot at the injured Wall for not spreading the ball around.

Wall responded to this on Tuesday to ESPN, claiming it was a "shock" to see Gortat tweet that and reminded him that he gets "the most spoon-fed baskets ever."

Gortat said in response to this, according to The Washington Post's Candace Buckner: "There wasn't definitely any hit at him, basically. We talk about team win with 30 assists a game, everybody played for each other. We enjoyed the game. And basically I see that, you know, he felt (a) different way. He felt it was a different way and he came back with that kind of comment.

"So, now we got to ask each other questions: Who's attacking who?"

Gortat says he has yet to speak to Wall since his comments, saying: "No, I talked to him a few days ago. I thought we verified that. I told him that it was nothing personal and I definitely didn't think about him when I was writing that or whatever I was saying. We never thought about attacking him and I thought we had this verified."

The Wizards have a reported interest in Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and it looks like they're moving Gortat on to land him, so in truth, it doesn't matter how this dispute between him and Wall is solved because he might not be in Washington for much longer.
