As of Thursday, the Milwaukee Bucks own a 30-23 record and are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

There is no denying that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the face of the Bucks franchise. After all, the Greek Freak is averaging 27.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 37.0 minutes per game and is a viable MVP candidate.

But, as on any successful squad, multiple players have contributed in positive ways in Milwaukee.

Jabari Parker just returned from a lengthy rehab stemming from a torn ACL, but point guard Eric Bledsoe and swingman Khris Middleton have been reliable producers for the Bucks all season long.

Bledsoe has averaging 17.1 points, 3.7 boards and 4.3 assists per game while Middleton has put up 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest.

After New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis tragically went down with his torn ACL on Wednesday (ironically against the Bucks), one of the questions that arose regarded the All-Star Game.

Team LeBron might be cursed. Washington Wizards point guard John Wall and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love went down with injuries after being drafted to LeBron’s squad. NBA commissioner Adam Silver named Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond and Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic as their replacements.

But, who from the Eastern Conference will now replace Porzingis?

Middleton wants to be the guy and feels like he has been overlooked by All-Star voters for many years.

“It’s definitely disappointing," Middleton said, per Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I definitely felt I should have been an all-star this year. If I wasn’t voted in by the coaches out front then I thought I should have been a replacement but they saw it a different way. I’m not going to let that kill my season. I’m not playing for just an all-star (selection); I’m playing for the playoffs, a championship team.”

"I definitely feel disrespected because of the numbers that I had and we had a good record. It is what it is at this point,” he added.

Silver has not yet named a replacement for Porzingis, but it’s widely presumed that either Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker or Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons will get the nod.

Overall, Middleton doesn’t need to be front-and-center on Antetokounmpo’s team, but he would like to receive some recognition once in a while.

“I’m not hating on my guys, but most of the attention goes to Bled, Giannis and JP (Jabari Parker) and I’m always in the background," Middleton explained. "I don’t have a problem with that at all. That’s kind of how I’d rather that it be. … But I still feel like I should get some credit I deserve for the season I was having so far.”
