Vince McMahon is always thinking forward. The next opponent for WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz may have been revealed. The Miz was drafted to the ECW brand in 2007 where he formed a partnership with John Morrison. Together, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship. After being drafted to Raw in 2009, he won the United States Championship twice, tag team titles with John Cena, Damien Mizdow, and twice with Big Show, as well as the 2010 Raw Money in the Bank ladder match. He cashed in his briefcase to win the WWE Championship in November 2010 and went on to hold for six months. He is also the third longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history by combined days, behind only Don Muraco and Pedro Morales. If you recall, the biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event. This marked the only time that WWE had booked The Miz in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.Former Universal Champion Finn Balor decided to take to his official Twitter account to show a photo of him kicking The Miz in the face. This led to The Miz responding to Balor. With Miz not having a current feud, it appears that they may be planning to have Miz vs. Balor for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 34. You can see their exchange here:

Balor is widely known for his tenure with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as Prince Devitt, where he is a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion.

Balor signed with WWE in 2014 and was placed in NXT. Balor became a one-time NXT Champion with his reign being the longest in the title's history at 292 days (although WWE recognizes it at 293).

He was then called up to the main roster and beat Seth Rollins at SummerSlam last year to win the WWE Universal Title. Balor became the first wrestler in WWE history to win a world title in their pay-per-view debut.

This marked the quickest wrestler in WWE history to win a world title at 27 days following his main roster debut by becoming the Universal Title. However, he relinquished the championship a day later due to suffering a legitimate shoulder injury during the match.
