The Cleveland Cavaliers were the busiest team on trade deadline day yesterday and it appears with all the comings and goings from the franchise, their main man in LeBron James is happy with the trades that have occurred.

In total, the Cavaliers made three trades on deadline day. They sent Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye and a 2018 first-round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr, and they also traded Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat in exchange for a 2024 second-round pick.

They were also part of a three-team trade with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings to acquire Rodney Hood and George Hill while trading away Iman Shumpert, Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose, and a 2020 second-round pick in return. In total, Cleveland traded away six players and received four back.

Ahead of the Cavaliers game tonight at the Philips Arena in Atlanta against the Hawks, James commented on his team's trades for the first time, saying he's pleased with the team's moves and he's ready to get working with this new group.

James said to ESPN: "I think we became a younger team, more athletic. We added some more shooting as well. So, we'll have to see how it meshes. I like the pieces that we have coming in.

"It's my job to get these guys integrated as fast as possible. I know the coaching staff and [coach] T Lue is going to do it as well, but it's my job to get these guys on the same page with us where we want to accomplish what we want to do. I look forward to getting them here. ... All four of them are pretty smart guys, and it should be fun."

As for seeing his former teammates being traded away, James wished them nothing but the best at their new franchises, but ultimately regrets the way which things ended.

The three-time NBA Champion said: "It's always tough when you lose teammates. The trade deadline is always a difficult time for everybody. ... I wish it could've been a lot better than it was. I definitely wish all six guys ... the best."

Despite only just trading for him during the summer as part of the trade that saw Kyrie Irving go to the Boston Celtics, Thomas' time at the Cavs ended after just 15 games. James wants to see him get his spring back at the Lakers.

"I want Isaiah to get his bounce back, get his spring back, get healthy. You know, being out seven months is difficult for anybody. I just felt like he was playing behind the eight ball. ... I wish the best for him. In L.A. right now and his future, I want him to get that bounce back, get that spring back."

As for Wade, James was less sympathetic, but only because they're good friends off the court. He jokingly reacted to his trade to Miami by saying "get out of here, D-Wade."

"Me and D-Wade? It ain't tough. I see him all the time. I'm happy as hell for D-Wade. He gets to go back home. That's how it should be. I've always felt that's where his heart and his mind was. I think it's going to be great for him.

"It wasn't tough. We're both 15 years in the league. We know how the business is. But more important, we know we see each other all the time anyway, so, 'get out of here, D-Wade.'" he joked.

We'll get to see this new-looking Cavaliers roster tonight against the Hawks, and it will be interesting to see if the team can gel together quickly in order to get Cleveland's hopes of finishing at the top of the Eastern Conference back on track.
