Doncaster duo Brian Stock and Jason Shackell will be hoping to prove their fitness in time to face Scunthorpe in their final home league game of the season.

Captain Stock (back) has been sidelined since February but has returned to light training, along with on-loan defender Shackell (groin), and the pair could feature on the bench at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Martin Woods had surgery on his groin on Thursday and will not feature again this season, while on-loan striker Billy Sharp remains sidelined with a thigh problem.

But James Coppinger should return to the side following his recovery from an ankle problem as Sean O'Driscoll's men look to end a dismal run of four games without a win in the Championship.

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins is expected to choose from the same squad of players that secured a priceless point against Reading.

The Iron fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with the Royals on Tuesday night to ensure they will spend another season in the Coca-Cola Championship.

Defenders Michael Raynes, Jim McNulty (both ankle) and Rob Jones did not feature against Reading and Adkins does not expect the trio to play in the derby clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Left-back Marcus Williams (hamstring) is also expected to remain sidelined and the Iron could field and unchanged starting line-up.

Sought-after striker Gary Hooper will be looking to maintain his impressive form, having scored four goals in his last two games. The former Southend man now has 17 Championship goals for the season, just two less than Cardiff's Peter Whittingham who is leading the way in the race for the golden boot.
