Despite the fact Floyd Mayweather's resounding victory over Conor McGregor in Las Vegas was way back in August, the two superstar fighters are still firmly in the spotlight.

In recent weeks, the rivalry between the two has resurfaced in all the headlines due to Mayweather teasing fans that he may sensationally make his UFC debut to fight McGregor.

The Irish MMA fighter made the call to take on the undefeated champion in the boxing ring and after his convincing loss, he has always challenged Mayweather to follow suit and swap sports.

The general consensus is that McGregor would win with ease, with some bookies placing him at 1/20 to win in the Octagon.

In all honesty, if Mayweather does pursue the rematch in a different setting, it will surely just be for the massive pay day.

However, one man who doesn't think the 50-0 fighter will go through with it is Chris Eubank Jr.

He himself will take on George Groves on February 17 and in the build-up to the bout, he was questioned on Mayweather's recent social media activity linking him with the UFC.

EUBANK JR. GIVES HIS VERDICT

"Listen, Floyd loves stirring the pot, man...anything to get people talking, he loves it...of course eventually he was going to do a little teaster for MMA...I can't imagine...in the sport of MMA, he's an even older man...it's hard for me to see," said the super middleweight.

He's pretty much got it spot on. Clearly, the Money Man just loves getting people talking about him and stirring the pot. At the end of the day, it just brings in more financial gain.

Eubank and Mayweather have shared a very friendly relationship outside of the sport.

The Brit famously revealed the American's wild party routine in the build-up to the McGregor fight and towards the end of 2017, he was videoed training in Mayweather's gym in preparation for his meeting with Groves.

Maybe Eubank's thoughts on the MMA videos are based on some inside knowledge...
