Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors is known as one of the best shooters in the NBA, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to dunk when the opportunity arises. He showed off his dunking skills against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. The Warriors won 122-105 against the Spurs at the Oracle Arena yesterday with Thompson scoring the most points out of all the players on the court with 25 points. He also had three rebounds in the game and was 10-of-14 from the field. The 28-year-old lead the way in the third quarter, scoring 10 points to help Golden State pull away from San Antonio and pick up their 43rd win on the season, their 21st at home. It was during this third quarter performance as well that a rare Thompson dunk was sighted. In a nice transition move, Thompson drove towards the basket for a slam dunk over Spurs small forward Davis Bertans with just under eight and a half minutes to go in the third quarter. As you can see in the video below, this put the Warriors up in the game by six.Thompson said on the dunk after the game to KNBR: “I caught the ball, and I had a good pace. So I just went up and flushed it. And it felt very good.”

Draymond Green was impressed with Klay's dunk, as he said: “Good dunk. Klay try to lay the ball up so much so you never just expect him to go try and dunk it like that, I think that’s why you kinda got the (bench) reaction. So I thought it was a…pretty good dunk.”

Steph Curry was also impressed with his performance on the night, as he said to ESPN: "It's been an amazing 3 1/2 years and hopefully more to come.

"It's a lot about him setting the identity and the culture around our team and just being a great people guy. There's probably a better term for that. He just knows how to relate to each and every one of us players and his coaching staff and you're building that ultimate trust throughout the organization."

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry wanted to remind the media that Thompson had dunked before, as he recalled a moment where he dunked over Kevin Durant in 2015 while Durant was still with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Warriors' next game will be when they host the Phoneix Suns on Monday.
