Boxing at SSE Arena Belfast

Belfast boxing star Padraig McCrory (3-0) is new to the professional game of boxing but granted did not take long making a big impact as he extended his unbeaten record against Manny Bique on Saturday night.

The Dominican Republic man travelled to Belfast for the fight against McCrory but would have been much better off had he stayed at home as it the home favourite just two rounds to land a huge knockout.

Local production company Sideline Films recorded the event and claim it is 'the most devastating KO one will ever see.'

Although it is always tricky to compare knockouts, there is little doubt 'The Hammer' looked very handy with a very powerful right hand straight into Bique's temple.

It's almost certainly a knockout of the year contender.

"People I hit, they seem to get hurt," said the popular McCrory afterwards. "Three fights and all three have hit the floor, although I've never knocked somebody out cold like that!

"I got carried away in the first round, looking for the shots. He caught me with one or two, he was game to fight, but I knew once I caught him clean that I was going to knock him out."

McCrory now has two KO victories in his last two fights, bringing him to 3-0 in a career that has certainly got off to a blistering start. In contrast, Bique falls to a dismal 0-3 record - including two early stoppage defeats.

For McCrory's next fight, a fear factor has been instilled that should intimidate whoever he shall see in the ring next.
