Huddersfield secured a play-off place following a commanding 6-0 victory at already doomed Stockport.
Former County favourite Anthony Pilkington put the visitors in front after just two minutes when he fired home via a slight deflection off Sam Barnes after being neatly teed up by Theo Robinson.
Jabo Ibehre went close for Stockport, but it was no surprise when the visitors doubled their lead seven minutes before the break.
After Danny Drinkwater had harried David Perkins off the ball, it fell invitingly for Robinson who turned sharply to slot home his 15th goal of the season.
Huddersfield's third goal in the 68th minute came after some devastating wing play from Pilkington. He crossed in low and after Robinson's initial effort bounced out off the post, Jordan Rhodes was on hand to lash home the rebound from three yards for his 23rd goal of the season.
Drinkwater added a fourth for Huddersfield as he curled home a 20-yard free-kick with five minutes left.
Gary Roberts slotted in a fifth in stoppage time, then substitute Lee Novak guided home a penalty right at the death.
