At the beginning of Monday Night Raw this week, the show was to host a fatal four-way between Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, and Apollo Crews to decide who would be the sixth participant in the Elimination Chamber match at the pay-per-view by the same name in two weeks. However, during Raw, Seth Rollins pleaded his case to Raw general manager Kurt Angle that he should be included in the match as well to make it a fatal five-way. The Kingslayer was able to convince Angle, via the crowd, to add him to the match. When the match took place in the main event of the show, it ended in controversial fashion, as both Balor and Rollins pinned Wyatt at the same time with the referee counting their pins at the same time too, and both of them thought they had won the match.Since there was only one spot left in the Elimination Chamber match, many fans were left wondering as the show went off the air which superstar would be awarded the final spot in the match that will determine who will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34.Following the end of Raw, Angle appeared on WWE's Facebook page and addressed the issue backstage in front of The Demon King and The Kingslayer, and announced both of them would be in the Elimination Chamber match, making it the first-ever seven-man Elimination Chamber match.Rollins and Balor join the Intercontinental Champion The Miz, John Cena, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and Elias in the Elimination Chamber match with the winner going on to face Lesnar for the Universal title at WrestleMania. After his loss to Cena at the beginning of Raw, The Miz will be the first superstar to enter the match, while Elias will be last following his win against Strowman and Cena last week on Raw.The Kingslayer took to Twitter to respond to being added to the match, and used one word to describe the announcement, "History."

What WWE hasn't explained however is how the match will work with seven participants, whether there will be an extra pod added or whether the match will start with three wrestlers. Logic suggests it will be the latter so that they don't have to build another pod for the chamber.

A lot of WrestleMania storylines are expected to be revealed at the Elimination Chamber or soon after, so it will be interesting to see how WWE uses both Balor and Rollins at the event. There have been rumors that Balor could challenge The Miz for the Intercontinental title at 'Mania, but there has been no word yet on how WWE could use Rollins at The Showcase of the Immortals.
