Ronda Rousey's WWE return is set after making her highly-anticipated debut last month after the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match.

It was announced on this week's episode of Monday Night RAW that Rousey will return to WWE TV next week at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV).

She will be appearing to sign her RAW contract with General Manager Kurt Angle, and most likely RAW commissioner Stephanie McMahon as well.

Per a report from Ringside News, there's a specific reason WWE decided to have Rousey appear at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

WWE has had issues lately selling tickets to its events, a key reason they have decided to do away with brand exclusive PPVs.

The Las Vegas venue se to host Elimination Chamber has only sold 8,000 seats of the 18,000 capacity for the event. WWE decided to add Rousey to the show in effort to sell more tickets for the event.

WWE also wants to capitalize on as much publicity as they can with Rousey as they head into WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans this April. It should also be noted that Rousey is being advertised by WWE for SummerSlam as well.

It's likely Rousey's appearance at Elimination Chamber will set up her WrestleMania match as well. The current rumor has Rousey and a mystery partner taking on the team of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

That mystery partner is hoped to be The Rock, if he can fit the event into his schedule, but Kurt Angle is also being discussed as an option. WWE reportedly wants to use Rousey and help Stephanie McMahon become a bigger mainstream star.

Rousey has signed a full time deal with WWE and has stated that she's now fully dedicated to her professional wrestling career.

It should be interesting to see how "The Rowdy One" progresses in her career inside the squared circle.
