There's no doubt that the best time of the year for a WWE fan is on the road to WrestleMania. From January to late April, fans tend to get treated to the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania and the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania. Those are four of the biggest nights of the year crammed into the first four months of the year and the last brand pay-per-views before the Grandaddy of Them All, WrestleMania, are vital to the shaping of the card. This year, SmackDown Live has the normally underwhelming Fastlane while Raw has the Elimination Chamber. For the men, the main events of both pay-per-views feature a combined 12 superstars.Of course, the chamber normally features six superstars anyway, but it will have seven this year with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, John Cena, The Miz, Elias, Finn Balor and Braun Strowman. As for SmackDown Live, AJ Styles was originally defending his title in a triple-threat match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but after this week's episode, Dolph Ziggler and former Money in the Bank winner Baron Corbin will now also be in the match. So, why is WWE doing this? According to @WrestleVotes, an account that broke Neville leaving the WWE, the company believe it will keep fans guessing as to what matches will happen at WrestleMania."Texting w/ WWE source this morning...interesting note. The reason both PPVs prior to Mania have multi-man main events (12 total guys) is to "keep the fans guessing" as to what's in store for WrestleMania. It's a different thought process, not sure it's necessarily working however"

While you can see the logic behind that statement, it's hard to agree with it.

Everyone knows that Roman Reigns will be facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 for the Universal title. That's virtually set in stone.

Everyone also knows that AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura - the 2018 Royal Rumble winner - is already locked in as a dream match for the fans who have not seen their Wrestle Kingdom classic.

Therefore, it's hard to buy anything else but Styles and Reigns victories on the road to WrestleMania.
