Professional wrestling is no walk in the park, and this recent injury from an NXT star proved exactly that.

The former IMPACT Wrestling star is now with WWE in the NXT developmental territory. Following his match at NXT Daytona Beach last week against Boa, Lail suffered a nasty finger injury that broke his pinky finger.

Lail's photo shows his pinky nearly in half. To add insult to injury, literally, Lail lost his match against Boa as well. His caption on the photo read as the following:

"This ain’t a business for the weak. Tape me up and send me back to war @wwenxt #WWE #AWESOME #realMan"

Although he got taped up and declared he's ready to get 'back to war' Lail didn't work the following night in Orlando. Check out the nasty photo here:

Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, Lail began his career as a professional wrestler in 2001. He worked the independent circuit up until 2010. Lail got his big break in 2010 when he was signed by IMPACT Wrestling.

He remained with the company up until 2015 and and signed with WWE two years later in May of 2017. During his time in IMPACT Wrestling he won Television Title once and the World Tag Team Championships with James Storm.

It should be interesting to see how the 35-year-old progresses in his professional wrestling career as he's now with the WWE and learning under some of the business' best minds at the Performance Center.

What are your thoughts on Lail showing off his nasty finger injury on Instagram? Do you think that he's going to get back into the ring and wrestle through it?
