Nikola Jokic inspired the Denver Nuggets to a huge win over the Milwaukee Bucks in the final game before the All-Star break with a historic performance. The Serbian recorded the fastest triple-double in NBA history as he took just 14 minutes and 33 seconds to achieve the feat, smashing the previous record of 17 minutes set by Jim Tucker. The 22-year-old ended the night with an incredible 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 17 assists. It was his second consecutive triple-double after recording one against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. It was also his third in his last seven outings and the fifth of the season. He was responsible for 74 of the Nuggets' 134 points on the night which reflects just how important he is to the team's offence.Following the game, it led head coach Mike Malone to make a bold statement about his young star."It's kind of like when I was fortunate enough to coach a guy like LeBron (James) or Chris Paul or Steph Curry. You recognise greatness," Malone said, per Harrison Wind of BSN Denver."Obviously, there are moments in the game when you are so locked in and you're worried about getting another stop, but some of the plays that he makes and how he makes the right play over and over again and how he makes all of his teammates better players. I do admire that. I do recognise that."No one in our organisation takes it for granted. We feel that we have the most dynamic, best facilitator, best playmaking player, young player in the NBA. It's going to be really fun to grow with him and see where this team and organisation takes us."Jokic is truly unique as the Denver offence runs through him despite being a center.

But with his passing ability and high basketball IQ, it's no surprise that Malone looks to play through him.

In just his third year in the league, 'The Joker' is developing into a superstar and this stunning display against the Bucks is evidence of that.

He joined a truly elite company as he became just the sixth player in NBA history to record a game with 30-plus points, 15-plus rebounds, and 15-plus assists.

The other names on that list are Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Larry Bird and James Harden.

"When you get a triple-double in 12 minutes -- I've been around for great players, I've never seen anything close to that," Malone said.

The Nuggets have a special talent on their hands and it's a scary thought for the rest of the league just how much better he can get.
