When Amir Khan was in the jungle on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, he was involved in a bit of a feud with Floyd Mayweather.

Well, the animosity between the two actually heated up after the show finished, with Khan learning of Mayweather slating his decision to go to Australia, with the 50-0 man branding him a 'wimp'.

In response, the British fighter stated that he would meet him in the four-cornered ring.

He said: said: “I’ve been chasing that guy like how the snake was chasing me.

“I’d love to have that guy in the Jungle with me, I would not let him go anywhere. You have to fight me now.”

Mayweather didn't exactly take Khan's offer seriously, saying: “For the last five years all I have been hearing is Amir Khan running his mouth off that he deserves a shot against me.

“He wants to fight the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and now I hear is running away from a few snakes and spiders.

“I only set up fights with fighters that deserve it and who are going to be part of a great fight for fans. Please! He needs to get real and stick with TV.”

A bit of bad blood, so it was only natural that Khan was asked about Mayweather possibly fighting Conor McGregor in a UFC setting.

He didn't exactly beat around the bush with his verdict.

“I don’t think [Mayweather] will ever step in the cage. MMA is a very difficult sport, you need to have a lot of strength and takedowns and I just don’t think a boxer is just gonna have all the tools to fight someone in an MMA cage, it’s gonna be really difficult," Khan told Sky Sports.

"I’ve been seeing Mayweather talking about and taking a lot of videos and pictures inside the MMA cage, but I just can’t see that ever happening. I can’t see him ever stepping in with someone in the MMA cage.”

He joins a list of fighters that doubt the rematch will happen in MMA, including Chris Eubank Jr and Ricky Hatton.

The ball is in Mayweather's court to prove all the Brits wrong.
