Paul Heyman is one of the best managers in WWE history, having managed the likes of Big Show, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and CM Punk, but in recent years, the only superstar he has managed is the current Universal Champion in Brock Lesnar.

WWE had tried pairing Heyman up with Cesaro, Ryback, and Curtis Axel, but unfortunately, it wasn't as successful as his time managing The Beast. Now though, it looks like even Heyman's time with Lesnar could be coming to an end.

Many reports have suggested that Lesnar's current contract with the WWE expires at some point this year, either after WrestleMania 34 or after SummerSlam if specific clauses are activated. It is widely expected that he will return to UFC when his contract does expire, leaving WWE in limbo when it comes to what to do with Heyman.

The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Rajah, has speculated on the future of Heyman if The Beast does decide to leave the company later this year. They have suggested that one of two ideas could be in place for him if he decides to stay with the WWE.

One idea has already been heavily speculated is pairing Heyman up with Ronda Rousey. It's unclear how good Rowdy is going to be at promos since we haven't seen her speak in WWE yet, so it might be a good pairing.

However, pairing Heyman with Rousey might not make sense creatively since Rowdy is expected to be involved extensively with Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 and beyond, either as an opponent or even as a heel allied with her.

The other idea that has been rumored is Heyman teaming up with the new Universal Champion and a possible heel turned Roman Reigns after WrestleMania 34, though this is unlikely to happen.

Reigns is expected to win the Elimination Chamber match later this month that will decide who will go on to face Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal title. The Big Dog is then expected to beat The Beast for the title in the main event of the show.

Reigns and Heyman would be an unlikely partnership especially since Reigns is such a fan favorite with the kids that watch WWE, but if The Big Dog was to turn heel, it could be a match made in heaven.
