Chelsea shrugged off doubts surrounding their form with a routine victory over Hull City in the FA Cup on Friday night.

In fact, it took only 106 seconds for Chelsea to take the lead against their Championship opposition, Willian curling home a superb left-footed effort past David Marshall. From that moment on, the tie was effectively over with the home side running riot before the break.

Pedro found the net after a brief lull for the Blues, before Willian bagged himself another and Olivier Giroud scored his first goal for Chelsea with a trademark near-post finish.

Hull did give a better account of themselves in the second-half, though, and nearly gave the travelling fans something to cheer about by winning a spot kick.

However, David Meyler couldn't hold his nerve against the penalty-saving expert of Willy Caballero who deflected the Irishman's strike away to his right-hand side.

Chelsea cruise to victory v Hull

After the victory, attention now turns to the Champions League with Chelsea facing a blockbuster clash with Barcelona for a place in the quarter-finals.

It must be imagined that the majority of players Antonio Conte has lined up for that clash will have been rested against Hull, but Chelsea supporters are hoping that's not the entire story.

While you can only collect so much data from a win over Championship opposition, fans saw plenty of two players to suggest they simply have to start when the Blaugrana take to the Stamford Bridge turf.

Chelsea fans rave about the same two players

The two men in question? Giroud and Willian.

After seeing his masterclass against Hull, fans were convinced that Willian has to join Eden Hazard in the attack with Giroud, as opposed to Morata, in between them. Check out the reaction:

It's difficult to argue with them, let's be honest.

Willian can often cut a frustrating figure with his inconsistency in west London, but his cut-throat attacking football versus Hull showed exactly how he could get under Barcelona's skin.

Furthermore, there's every reason to suggest Giroud would prove more of a handful up front for the Spanish club's defenders than the out-of-form Morata.

Either way, Chelsea will face an uphill struggle to qualify for the quarter-finals yet listening to the fans on this occasion wouldn't be Conte's worst decision ever.
