In a Rising Stars Challenge filled with exciting young talent, it was Team World who came away with a big win as they thumped Team U.S.A 155-124 at Staples Center.Sacramento Kings rookie Bogdan Bogdanovic was named as the MVP after he produced a terrific shooting display where he knocked down 7-of-13 three-pointers on his way to 26 points.The World team dominated most of the proceedings and proved too much with Buddy Hield leading his team with 29 points.Denver Nuggets sophomore Jamal Murray and Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons also put on strong showings.For the U.S team, Jaylen Brown led the way with 35 points and Kyle Kuzma was impressive in front of his home fans with 20 points off the bench.The night certainly belonged to Team World but there's no doubt that the best highlight plays belonged to the Americans.Team U.S.A staged a mini dunk contest as multiple players connected on some outstanding throwdowns.Brown capped off his night with this ridiculous between-the-legs dunk late in the fourth quarter:With the walking highlight reel Dennis Smith Jr. on the court, we were always due a big flush and he didn't disappoint.The Dallas Mavericks point guard got up high to hammer home a vicious alley-oop slam from a perfect feed from Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell himself has also performed some athletic plays this year and got in on the act as he produced a thunderous dunk after feeding himself off the backboard.

The Utah Jazz rookie has replaced Aaron Gordon in the Dunk Contest and this was a great preview of what we can expect from the 21-year-old. The fans will be in for a real treat.

But the best throwdown of the night belongs to Atlanta Hawks youngster John Collins.

Mitchell was once again involved in the play and his pass was almost as good as the finish.

His eye contact with Collins must've been perfect as he threw an outrageous backwards no-look pass over his head which the Hawks big man slammed home with authority.

The catch and finish with ferocity was truly terrifying and it's a play that deserves to be watched over and over again.

The game may have ended up being a procession but it showcased that the NBA is blessed with truly great young talent and is in good hands for the future.

It won't be too long before we see many of these young stars performing these plays in the All-Star game.
