If you don't believe Neymar is one of the best players in the world yet, you should.

The former Barcelona man became the most expensive player in the history of football last summer when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a staggering €222 million.

While it's hard to say anyone is worth that kind of money, the 26-year-old has certainly been performing like he's the best player in the world.

With 28 goals in 28 games for the Parisians - with 14 assists too - there's no doubt the forward is in the form of his life.

Some might argue that Ligue 1 isn't the best standard in Europe, it might even be as low as the fifth best league.

However, no one can deny the results he is producing, even in the Champions League. He was at it once again when PSG took on Strasbourg on Saturday night.

While the league leaders went on to win the game 5-2, Neymar helped the Parisians take a 2-1 lead in the 21st minute with a sublime goal that truly showed his incredible footwork.

Take a look at what he does to the last two defenders - it's incredible:

Neymar has been covered in controversy since moving to PSG and his ego is said to have made a fractious relationship with several of his teammates, most notably Edinson Cavani.

Neymar denies those claims and his international manager, Tite, did the same late last year.

"If you let me, I want to comment on Neymar," Tite told a news conference, with Neymar welling up as his coach spoke next to him.

"We have been working together for a year and a half, and I'm tired of hearing that Tite has problems with Neymar - because of his enormous character, of his influence in the dressing room.

"We are not perfect, we are human beings and sometimes we react in the wrong way.

"It happened to me in my career, is it wrong? There are a number of circumstances to take into account and we must be careful not to generalise.

"We should be talking about the character, the nature and the great heart that Neymar has."

Tite's words brought Neymar to tears, but it's fair to say Neymar's feet brought the Strasbourg defenders to tears!
