WWE has been focused on retaining some of its bigger names on the mid-card of their roster, and that includes the signing of Mojo Rawley to a contract extension.

In recent weeks WWE has re-signed Intercontinental Champion The Miz, and former United States Champion Dolph Ziggler to contract extensions as well.

While The Miz signed on for four more years with WWE, the duration of Ziggler's new deal with the company is not public knowledge as of this writing.

It should be noted that most extensions are between two and four years. As for Rawley, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has signed the ex-NFL player to a deal that will keep him with the promotion for the foreseeable future.

Rawley is a former Division III football player for Christopher Newport University where he played on the defensive line. He later transferred to the University of Maryland where he earned a starting role.

He would eventually be signed by the Green Bay Packers in the NFL after going undrafted, and later signed with the Arizona Cardinals as well. Two years after his NFL career came to an end Rawley decided to make a career switch.

In 2012 he signed with WWE to a developmental deal in NXT. After four years of learning the ropes of the business and evolving his character, he got his first big gimmick when he was paired with Zack Ryder to for The Hype Bros.

He eventually got his call up to the main roster alongside Ryder as part of the Hype Bros and even had some singles success  when he won the 2017 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Rawley would soon turn heel and betray Ryder after the pair continuously lost in tag team competition, thus bringing an end to The Hype Bros' run.

What are your thoughts on Rawley, Ziggler, and Miz signing contract extensions with WWE in the recent weeks?
