Alexis Sanchez has been something of a slow burner at Manchester United so far.Since leaving Arsenal in January, the Chilean has made a solid start to life at Old Trafford but hasn't set the world alight like many supporters thought he would. In five appearances for the Red Devils, he has a single goal to his name and no assists in the league. One of the biggest issues surrounding Sanchez has been his arrival's effect on Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.Even with the sale of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, United certainly aren't short of attacking reinforcements and Sanchez's signing has seriously shuffled the pack.

Man Utd were all tweeting about Alexis Sanchez

It was a debate opened up once again by supporters upon United's trip to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium and a crunch round of 16 clash with Sevilla.

The visitors struggled for much joy in Anadlaucia, despite having the better of the play in a cagey fixture.

And while the aforementioned Sanchez didn't struggle against the Spaniards, he had very little influence on the game and looked as if he was becoming isolated on the left wing.

As a result, tweets were raining in - asking Mourinho to make better use of a player receiving club-record wages.

Alexis Sanchez was being wasted on the left wing

In particular, they wanted him playing as a centre-forward behind Romelu Lukaku with Martial the preferred option on the left. Check out the reaction:

Sanchez enjoyed a lot of success at Arsenal when played in the centre-forward position and his superb passing play could see him deliver a crucial supply-line to Lukaku there.

At the moment, though, it seems the Special One has made up his mind on the Chilean's role and it could take some getting used to on recent performances.
