Tony Bellew took to Twitter today for a question and answer session with his fans and followers, and when the obvious heavyweight names of boxing cropped up, he gave an interesting response to why he would rather fight Tyson Fury than the current world champion Anthony Joshua. The Scouser is currently training for his rematch with David Haye on May 5, but he was able to take time out to answer the things people really wanted to know, and that includes why he would rather fight the 'Gypsy King'.Bellew's response was rather blunt and simple, as he replied to the question saying: "Cos Fury isn’t the puncher or the athlete that AJ is... great boxer, but I believe there is ways to combat that." Given how close Bellew seemingly is to Joshua, as he's been seen at ringside at some of his previous fights, plus he is under the same management, it is no surprise that he wouldn't want to step into the ring with someone so menacing. But, the feud between the 'Bomber' and Fury has been bubbling for months.Fury made some disparaging remarks about Bellew in the media, and Eddie Hearn claimed in November that discussions had taken place about a match, but nothing was imminent.A fight between the two would test Bellew to the extreme.Fury is six inches taller, and also possesses an 11-inch greater reach, so in theory, it would be difficult for Bellew to get near to Fury's chin without exposing himself.

Bellew, however, possesses greater speed, so if the two ever did square off against each other, it would certainly be an interesting clash of styles.

The first thing on the agenda of the former Cruiserweight champion of the world, though, is the impending clash with his nemesis Haye. Bellew won the first fight with an 11th round TKO, with Haye severely rupturing his achilles during the fight.

The rematch was postponed in November due to Haye injuring his arm, but will take place in a little over two months time, and it was just this week that Haye claimed that he LOVES his opponent, which is a far cry from the war of words the pair had before the first clash.
