Few men have risen to almost king status in Liverpool as quickly as Mohammed Salah.
The Egyptian forward's first spell in the Premier League was with Chelsea and amid a lack of game time, the former Basel man found himself farmed out to Serie A.
His sensational form for Roma meant that Liverpool paid £35 million to bring him to Anfield in the summer, but plenty of Reds fans were skeptical about the buy, especially given his previous form in the English top-flight.
However, with 30 goals in 36 games this season, Salah has lit up Anfield and significantly softened the blow of losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142 million.
Liverpool currently sit in third place in the league, just two points behind rivals Manchester United in second.
The club also looks set to progress in the Champions League after demolishing Porto 5-0 away and if they could have a deep run in Europe and finish second in the league, that would be considered a good season.
However, silverware is on the mind of Salah and he made his intentions clear to the Daily Mail.
"I came here to win titles," Salah told BBC Football Focus. "I can tell the fans we work 100 per cent to try and win something for the club. It's a long time since the club won the league. It's my dream to win the Premier League - but I want to win it with this club."
While Reds fans were understandably delighted with the ambition shown from Salah, the vast majority of Twitter tore him to shreds for his words.
The fact that Manchester City are 16 points clear at the top of the league - 18 clear of Liverpool - means there is zero hope Salah's dream will come true this season, but Liverpool are closing the gap gradually.
With plenty of money to spend in the summer, Liverpool's long wait for a league title - and their first Premier League title overall - could come to an end in the coming years, especially if they manage to keep hold of Salah.
It has been reported that Real Madrid are keeping an eye on the forward, but his dreams will only come true on Merseyside, apparently.
