It was never going to take Philippe Coutinho long to adapt to his new surroundings at Barcelona.During his time at Liverpool it was very much clear he was the kind of player suited to Lionel Messi and co's style of play.Fast, creative and with an expansive skill set, Coutinho has the Barcelona DNA and, as expected, he's settled in nicely since joining last month. One man who was desperate to see the Brazilian swap Liverpool for Barcelona was Luis Suarez, who explained recently how much he's seen Coutinho change over the years."When he's on the pitch, he transforms," said Suarez. "It may not seem like it, but Philippe is very shy and quiet. He needs to be more confident."That said, I've noticed a change between the kid that arrived at Liverpool and the player he's become now. He's still shy, but you can see how much he's matured."I am convinced he's going to give us a lot at Barca, as a player and a person. He has a quality which sets him apart [from others]."Coutinho is already world class, but at a club like Barcelona and surrounded by players like Messi and Suarez, he's only going to improve. He scored his first goal for the Blaugrana earlier this month against Valencia and tonight, against Girona, he grabbed his first La Liga goal with an absolute thunderbolt. In the video(s) below, Coutinho dances past one Girona player before unleashing an unstoppable strike into the far corner that kisses the post on its way in.
