What is going on with Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho at Manchester United right now?

In United’s previous five matches, the Frenchman has been substituted twice, been named on the bench twice and withdrawn late from the squad through illness.

And if reports are to be believed, the midfielder and his manager certainly aren’t seeing eye-to-eye right now.

And The Sun have taken it one step further with their latest report.

They’re suggesting that Pogba is “ready to quit Manchester United if boss Jose Mourinho stays on.”

Wow.

They go on to state that a United source has told them: “Things are at an all-time low between them. Paul has made it clear he doesn’t want to be there if Mourinho is.”

But who could sign a player that cost £89 million in the summer of 2016?

Well, The Sun claim that Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, is in talks with Real Madrid over a possible summer escape plan.

A CLUB COULD SIGN POGBA FOR £53M

But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the whole report is that a club is able to sign him for just £53 million.

That club? Juventus.

It’s claimed that “his former club Juventus have a £53m buy-back clause.”

Of course, a return to Juventus might not be Pogba’s wish. However, if he really wants to leave Old Trafford, he might be open to returning to the Old Lady for a season or two before another big-money move to Real Madrid.

The chances of United selling him for £53 million appear very slim, though.

Despite his current form, Pogba’s value has probably increased since his £89 million move with the 24-year-old having the ability to become one of the best midfielders in world football.

United fans will just be hoping Pogba and Mourinho can put their differences behind them and continue to work together at the Theatre of Dreams for many years to come.

An impressive performance against Chelsea in this afternoon’s fixture would be a great place to start.
