After a phenomenal breakthrough year in 2017, Justin Thomas has carried his form into the current season as well, winning his eighth PGA Tour title, beating compatriot Luke List in a play-off at the Honda Classic in Orlando, Florida.Tied at eight under par at the conclusion of four rounds, it was Thomas who managed to outlast his rival as he secured victory with a birdie on the first extra hole.It might have been nerves during the penultimate moments of the contest as List aimed for his first win on the PGA Tour, while Thomas exhibited a calm and experienced approach on his way to the title. The 2017 PGA Championship winner, however, also had an eventful afternoon with a heated exchange on the golf course, involving a fan in attendance.Thomas, attempting a shot on the par-4 16th in Sunday’s final round, overheard a fan yelling: “Get in the bunker.”The 24-year-old quickly identified the individual and replied: “Who said that? Are you kidding? You just said for that ball to get in the bunker. Was that you? Enjoy your day, buddy. You’re gone.”You can watch the video further down this article.
Thomas then called for the fan to be ejected from the venue as he thought his behaviour was inappropriate. This isn't the first time fans have been subject to criticism on the golf course, with Rory McIlroy claiming they cost Tiger Woods a lot during his career.

Opinions are split over the reaction of the golfer which ultimately might have led to the fan being evicted from witnessing the event.

Nonetheless, the incident could not stop the American ace from finishing at the top.

The world number four will now gear up for more titles and accolades in the year ahead as he aims to continue his domination and progress on the back of a brilliant period in his pro career.

However, he'll be hoping he has no more altercations with fans in attendance.
