Dillian Whyte doesn't like being out of the limelight for too long. When he's not in the ring, he's making his way into the boxing headlines through other means.

The British heavyweight boxer, whose last big fight came with the defeat of Dereck Chisora in October 2016, is set to fight Lucas Browne next at the O2 Arena.

In the meantime though, he has been voicing his opinions about recent matches and upcoming clashes between the headlining acts in British boxing.

And part of an interview with iFL TV on YouTube is sure to cause a stir, as he outrageously tried his hand at a Chris Eubank Sr impression in the wake of his son's defeat to George Groves.

Eubank Jr was comprehensively outboxed in Manchester almost two weeks ago by Groves in the World Boxing Super Series and received plenty of stick for not having a full-time trainer and how involved his father is.

Now, most boxing fans are all too aware of Eubank Sr's very distinctive voice.

However, we're fairly sure he doesn't sound anything like Whyte's portrayal.

Skip to roughly 11:10 into the video below to hear it.

"His dad just needs to be real with him and stop telling him nonsense. His dad said (about his son) 'this is the best fighter in the world' - this is not the best fighter in the world," Whyte joked.

"'This man will destroy Gennady Golovkin. He's such a great fighter.' He's not. You need to tell him the truth, Chris, and say to him: 'Jr, you are an exceptional fighter but you must work on your skills and your footwork and closing the distance properly and don't believe in this hype'."

Laughing with disbelief, the interviewer behind the camera tells Whyte: "You sounded like the geezer out of Fonejacker!"

Seemingly a bit embarrassed with his shocking effort, Whyte admits, "I know! That was a terrible Chris Eubank accent but you know, everyone will get it."

Probably best not to try that one again, Dillian...
