It looks like the WWE has decided to make some serious changes to the Intercontinental Title picture heading into WrestleMania 34.

As we previously reported, it was expected that The Miz would be feuding with Braun Strowman after Elimination Chamber for the Intercontinental Title heading into WrestleMania. That feud was expected to kick off at Elimination Chamber or on last night's episode of Monday Night RAW.

That didn't happen, however, as Strowman continued his program with Elias while The Miz wrestled both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor in the same night. Now Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports those two men could be his opponents at WrestleMania 34.

WWE seems to be wanting to have The Miz vs. Seth Rollins at "The Show Of Shows" in New Orleans, and they might just add Finn Balor to the match to make it a Triple Threat.

Here's what Meltzer had to say about the plans (quotes via Ringside News):

“It’s pretty clear that they will be doing The Miz and Seth Rollins and probably Finn Balor in a three way, which takes Strowman out and Strowman is obviously the backup plan in case something happens.”

As for Strowman, it's likely that he continues on with is program with Elias. It's no secret that Elias has a bright future in WWE, as he continues to impress on the mic and the WWE Universe seems to really be behind him.

Strowman has also been on a tear of dominance so it would do good for him to continue that streak by running through someone such as Elias. There's also a slight possibility that Strowman could be added to the main event of WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in the night's main event.

If recent steroid accusations against Reigns are serious, however, Strowman could be added to that bout.

What are your thoughts on WWE planning a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Title between The Miz, Finn Balor, and Seth Rollins? And how do you feel about Strowman being booted from the Intercontinental Title picture? Do you think a feud with Elias at WrestleMania will be better for him? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
