John Cena made an appearance for SmackDown Live this week for the first time since he was a member of WWE's blue brand during Survivor Series in November last year. However, his time on the show didn't go off without a hitch.

Cena has been with the WWE now for over 15 years, so you would think that they shouldn't be making any mistakes in relation to the character which he plays on TV. That wasn't the case though last night on SmackDown.

The Leader of the Cenation opened up the show on Tuesday and stated in the middle of the ring that after his failure at the Elimination Chamber, his road to WrestleMania now runs through SmackDown.

However, during his entrance, WWE made a huge error when bringing up the graphics on the screen, as they accidentally flashed The Bludgeon Brothers graphic before quickly removing it. These days though, something as minute as this is always picked up by WWE fans.

And the WWE universe absolutely ran with it on social media.

Maybe this is a sign that WWE needs to chill on the graphics on screen and take more care with their presentation of SmackDown. Many fans have criticised the blue brand for their use of on-screen graphics for live promos in recent weeks, as it makes the product feel more scripted.

After the entrance botch, Cena would announce in his promo that he would like to earn a spot in the WWE Championship match at Fastlane and would do whatever it takes to be involved in the match. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan decided that if he could beat AJ Styles in a non-title match, he would be added to Fastlane.

Sure enough, later on in the evening, The Leader of the Cenation managed to win against The Phenomenal One, meaning the Fastlane main event for the WWE title will be a six-pack challenge between Styles, Cena, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler.

Styles is still expected to win at Fastlane to go on to put his title on the line against the Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 later this year in New Orleans, but the addition of Cena into the main event picture now makes SmackDown a lot more interesting.

However, now WWE has teased it, all fans want to see now is Cena join The Bludgeon Brothers.

Harper. Rowan. Cena. Bludgeon Brothers!
