Deontay Wilder is hell-bent on a unification fight with Anthony Joshua and you can't exactly blame him.

Joshua will slug it out with the WBO belt-holder Joseph Parker on March 31, while Wilder will look to go 40-0 after a match-up with Luis 'King Kong' Ortiz at the weekend.

However, you get the feeling that, no matter how difficult their respective fights are, it's all a precursor for the mega fight that every fight fans wants to see.

That seems to be the mindset of Wilder anyway who spent a great deal of his media day for the Ortiz fight talking about Joshua and his promotor Eddie Hearn. The 'Bronze Bomber' remarked: "Joshua is like a cow, Eddie Hearn is milking him for every dollar.

"Hearn knows I'm a dangerous factor to his operation. There have been no negotiations at all, no deal has been offered. But the world wants to see me and Joshua get in the ring.

Eddie Hearn responds to Wilder's cash-cow comment

"I don't think Joshua has enough confidence in himself to fight me. It's all on them. If he really wants it, he can make it happen."

No negotiations? We're not so sure about that Deontay and neither is Hearn who has quickly responded in an interview with iFL TV. It's fair to say he put Wilder in his place.

Hearn explained: "I think he's just got the hump because his udders are dry.

"He's like a solo salesman, going around everywhere and my worry is, he's taken his eye off Luis Ortiz because this is a tough fight, this is his first proper fight but he's spent the whole time, selling the fight off Anthony Joshua and me.

"One thing he needs to know is, if it's the biggest fight in world boxing, don't you think old greedy b******s doesn't want to make it? And doesn't he think that Joshua, after all the talk from Wilder, doesn't want to fill him in?

"But he came in with his ridiculous demands but it's one thing talking about it, all he does is talk about it in the media. Give me a call! Let's not talk about it in the media, let's talk about business on the table.

Hearn outlines the difference between Wilder and Joshua

"Deontay Wilder has been a pro for 10 years, he has had 39 fights, this is his seventh defence of his world title. How many unifications? None. How many has he been close to having? None.

"Anthony Joshua has been pro for four years, he's had 20 fights, British, Commonwealth and World heavyweight champion. How many unifications? Two and he probably wishes he had more.

"Deal with Luis Ortiz, we'll deal with Joseph Parker. If we do that, we have three belts and he has one and that's all we want. I'm not bothered about Deontay Wilder, we just want that little bit of bling around his waist, that's all.

"What's the value in being a keyboard warrior? He's trying to sell tickets for the Ortiz fight off the back of Anthony Joshua, he must be tired - stop talking smack and get some rest."

Would you like some sting for that burn, Deontay?
