British boxer Dillian Whyte has stirred the pot with comments he has made regarding WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

The Bronze Bomber is set to defend his title against Luis Ortiz on Saturday, March 3 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Whyte, meanwhile, is probably angling for a fight against Wilder should he come out victorious in his own bout on March 24 against Lucas Browne.

The Villain was candid when asked about his opinion regarding the upcoming fight between Wilder and Ortiz, and could not help but sneak in a jab at the current champion.

"Ortiz stands a very good chance because Deontay Wilder can't take a punch," Whyte shared..

"'I've seen Wilder spar, I've seen him get knocked out in sparring before, but I don't tell sparring stories.

"I saw him get dropped in sparring before, but sparring's sparring. Marvin Hagler used to get dropped in sparring a lot, Mike Tyson got dropped in sparring."

However, Whyte stopped short of picking Ortiz as the favourite, noting that the Cuban fighter has a couple factors going against him.

"It's a really good fight, but there's two problems for Luis Ortiz. At the top level he's been inactive for the past two or three years. Wilder's been very active, he might not have fought top guys but they've still been decent guys with decent records," Whyte said.

"The second problem is (Ortiz) has got to be about 1,000 years old. When you look at it, he has very good skills and very good punching power, but I just think his inactivity is going to be his downfall."

It seems like a lot to say for a fighter with his own different fight to worry about. Needless to say, Whyte will be a keen observer come Saturday night, as he awaits his turn on the undefeated champion.
