The Los Angeles Lakers are playing some of the best basketball in the NBA at the moment and gave another glimpse into their bright future by crushing the Miami Heat on Thursday night.

They secured a 131-113 win at American Airlines Arena for their fourth consecutive victory.

The Lakers' young stars enjoyed a fine night as Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Julius Randle played a huge role in their big win.

Ball, in particular, was impressive as he produced a unique stat line where he almost posted a quadruple-double.

The 20-year-old was involved in a bit of everything as he stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, seven assists, six steals and six rebounds.

He was also three-of-five from the field and two-of-three from beyond the arc in 34 minutes of action as he returned to the starting lineup.

The point guard was matched up against Dwayne Wade for large parts of the night and the veteran heaped praise on the youngster for his maturity on the court following the game.

"I have been a big fan of him. I watched him play in college. He has a great feel of the game and he doesn't play for statistics," Wade said, per ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

"He plays to win. He moves the ball and his IQ of the game is incredible. He is athletic. Everyone talks about his shot, but he has been shooting that way his whole life. He can knock shots down. He is good man, he is a good basketball player.

"Everyone expects him to come in and be Kobe Bryant, but Kobe Bryant wasn't Kobe Bryant when he came in. He had to work to it. So he has a long career, hopefully, in front of him and we will see how it shakes out."

These are serious compliments from a future Hall of Famer and should provide real encouragement for Lonzo moving forward.

The hopes of the franchise are on his young shoulders and he's under pressure to bring the glory days back to Tinseltown.

But it's a process and the UCLA product has shown flashes of his undeniable talent and is capable of being a future cornerstone of the Lakers.

Head coach Luke Walton was also delighted with Ball's display in Miami and thought he was the best player on the floor.

"He was great," Walton said, per ESPN. "To me, he was probably the best player on the court tonight, and I think he only shot five times, which is why we've been so high on him from day one.

"He's one of the very unique players, it doesn't matter if he's taking shots, scoring 20 a game or not, he can impact the game from all over. He was doing that for us tonight. All-around probably, in my opinion, the best player on the floor tonight."

The rookie is averaging 10.2 points, 7.0 assists and 7.1 rebounds per game this year which are steady numbers in his first campaign.

His impact since his recent return from injury has shown just how important he is to this team and there's still so much more to come from the number two overall pick.
