More updates continue to pour in about this talent. As seen at Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on the WWE Network, Roman Reigns beat Braun Strowman, Elias, John Cena, The Miz, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor in the Elimination Chamber Match. As a result of this win, Reigns will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34, which is slated to take place Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network and is the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card. This leads us to this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Anaheim, CA at the Honda Center on the USA Network where WWE hyped that there would be a confrontation between Lesnar and Reigns on the flagship show of the WWE, Raw, to help build their program at WrestleMania 34.However, there was one problem, which was the fact that Lesnar didn’t appear and WWE had Reigns cut a promo in the ring about how Lesnar does what he wants when he wants.Dave Meltzer noted on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Braun Strowman was pulled from his match with WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz due to internal concern over the Lesnar vs. Reigns main event at WrestleMania 34.It was noted that the sports entertainment company wants to have a backup plan in case damaging evidence against Reigns may come out of the investigation that filmmaker Jon Bravo is doing. As of this writing, there is no word on what Strowman will be doing at the biggest event of the year for the WWE, but he could end up in a match with Elias or Samoa Joe.It should be noted that Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports that the Intercontinental Title match at Mania will feature Miz, Elias, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor in a Fatal Five-Way match.According to the report that was posted on F4WOnline.com, a plan is in place by WWE to get Reigns cheered at WrestleMania 34. It was noted that someone came up with the idea when WWE still had enough time to tell Lesnar and Heyman not to come to Anaheim for this week episode of Monday Night Raw.The sports entertainment company is trying to make the build to Reigns vs. Lesnar as much like a shoot as possible. While Reigns cut a “shoot style” promo on WWE Raw, the promo was scripted. This leads us to the latest update and it’s quite interesting. PWStream tweeted out the following news on Lesnar and the WWE that may have led to him no-showing:“Lesnar was set to sign a contract extension on Monday, adding more dates including an appearance on #Raw, hence why he was scheduled for the show. Using his potential UFC deal as a bargaining chip, he refused to sign. Reigns' worked shoot promo was the result of this.”
