Ajax striker Luis Suarez has alerted top Premier League sides after admitting that he would be interested in playing in England.
Suarez told Four Four Two magazine: “Clubs have come to Amsterdam to watch me, but as far as I know, none came in with a concrete offer.
“If I keep playing well and keep developing, they’ll come. But first I’ve got to finish this season and then there’s the World Cup,” he added.
The forward will be hoping to play in the Champions League next season, something Ajax may not be able to offer after losing the Dutch title to Steve McLaren managed FC Twente.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is unlikely to want to spend big bucks on a striker, though, after tying up a deal for Marouane Chamakh and Chelsea’s thoughts are more likely to be focused on Fernando Torres.
Although a summer move to England could be on the cards, Suarez admitted he is hoping for a move elsewhere.
“It would have be a very attack minded club which suits my game. But to be honest, my lifelong dream is to play for Barcelona," he said.
