Steven Gerrard was in the BT Sport studio as Liverpool welcomed Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle to Anfield.Gerrard knew that a victory for his former side would see them move to second in the Premier League table - until Monday at least. However, this is a Newcastle side that only narrowly lost 1-0 to Manchester City thanks to a solid defensive display and beat United 1-0 last month. And Gerrard wouldn’t have been surprised to see Jurgen Klopp’s side frustrated during the opening 45 minutes - although Mohamed Salah did break the deadlock shortly before the break. But it wasn’t just the players that were left frustrated. That’s because the supporters weren’t too happy with what happened in the first-half. Not necessarily what happened on the pitch, but what happened off the pitch.Newcastle fans - as always - turned up to an away match in their number with some of them even being seen topless in the freezing conditions. But a song they were signing really angered a few Kopites. They were heard singing the Gerrard song for a lot of the first-half - mocking him for slipping on his a*se and “giving it to Demba Ba.”Of course, the song is all about how Gerrard slipped against Chelsea during the 2013/14 season, a mistake which saw Liverpool lose the match and, ultimately, the title. While Ba is a former Newcastle player, Liverpool fans were left angry and confused at why Newcastle fans were signing it.

LIVERPOOL FANS WEREN'T HAPPY

Until they win the Premier League title, Liverpool fans will always be bitter about that devastating moment.

Whether Jurgen Klopp is the man to lead the Merseysiders to their first Premier League crown remains to be seen.
